Metacognition as one of the fundamental aspects in achieving people’s target, due to metacognition as their self-regulation. Meanwhile, the life experience and educational background are very important to adjust people’s metacognition. Self-concept is one of the important psychosocial development aspects of students that a teacher should understand. Students who have positive self-concept are enthusiastic, optimistic, and willing to try new things. Students with positive self-concept will think and act positively so that they can determine their realistic goals as they know they are capable. There is evidence that low academic achievement and learning motivation of students, as well as the occurrence of behavioral deviations of students in the classroom, are largely caused by negative self-perceptions and attitudes of students towards themselves. Similarly, students who experience learning difficulties are more likely perceive themselves incapable of doing their academic tasks.
Academic writing is a specific style of writing used in educational settings, such as universities and research institutions. The primary purpose of academic writing is to convey information, present arguments, and contribute to the existing body of knowledge in a particular field or discipline. Academic writing typically follows a structured format, which may include an introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion. Academic Writing uses language that is specific to the subject matter and avoids unnecessary jargon or colloquialisms. It avoids the use of first-person pronouns unless explicitly allowed by the discipline or assignment guidelines. These sources provide evidence, support arguments, and contribute to the overall validity of the work. This helps to avoid plagiarism and allows readers to locate and evaluate the sources referenced.
