Metacognition as one of the fundamental aspects in achieving people’s target, due to metacognition as their self-regulation. Self-concept is one of the important psychosocial development aspects of students that a teacher should understand. Students who have positive self-concept are enthusiastic, optimistic, and willing to try new things. Students with positive self-concept will think and act positively so that they can determine their realistic goals as they know they are capable. There is evidence that low academic achievement and learning motivation of students, as well as the occurrence of behavioral deviations of students in the classroom, are largely caused by negative self-perceptions and attitudes of students towards themselves. Similarly, students who experience learning difficulties are more likely perceive themselves incapable of doing their academic tasks.
